Fantasy NASCAR Rules

Fan Fantasy NASCAR is based on the official NASCAR® Winston Cup points system. Drivers in each team's lineup will earn the same number of points that are awarded under the WINSTON CUP® formula. The season will be split into 2 halfs with payouts going to the top 3 finishers of each half. Our League Champions for each half will be determined by the highest point total at the end of each half. If a tie breaker becomes necessary, the teams involved will be notified by email. Correct contact email addresses are a MUST!

League Commissioner:
TAZZ

Entry Fee:
$20.00 for 36 weeks of racing

Teams:
Teams will be based on 5 drivers (not cars) acquired online using our Change Driver form and carry a max salary cap limit of $186,000.00. Popular drivers can and probably will be drafted and run each week by multiple teams.

Banking:
Each Wednesday you receive $186,000 salary to purchase your drivers for that week.
Banking works like your checking account.
If you don't spend all your money in your checking account that week, all unspent money will be banked for future weeks.  However there is a ceiling cap of $227,000 total.

League Data/Driver Changes:
Updated driver salaries will be posted after 6:00 pm every Wednesday. Always check the results header at the top of the League's main page as occasionally this will be delayed by Nascar and penatiles! Timely driver changes are very important! Your weekly lineups must be posted no later than 1 hour before each race. Its each team owners responsibility to check their lineups against the cap each week before the green flag. We have no way to verify system or ISP outages for different parts of the country, so getting your driver changes in early is critical!

Once the race starts absolutely no changes will be taken. As owners its your responsibility to check your lineups prior to the green flag.

. MAKE SURE ALL 5 of your drivers qualify for the race.... As the season progresses driver salaries will change. If your team exceeds the salary cap due to these salary changes and you fail to make roster changes before race time, your lowest salaried driver will be removed before processing the weekly race results. This will result in your team being scored with only 4 drivers due to salary cap violations. Team lineup changes will be posted at least one hour before each race. It is your responsibility to check and make sure your changes are correct. Please check your lineups just before the start of each race and E-mail Tazz if incorrect. Again, once a race starts there will be NO changes!

Points System:
Points are awarded in declining order from the winner on down. Positions 1 thru 5 have a 5-Point difference, 6 thru 10 have a 4-Point difference and positions 11 thru 43 have a 3-Point difference.

Bonus Points:
Bonus points are awarded to the driver that leads the most laps (5 points - 1 driver) and for any driver who leads at least one lap in any race. (5 points - any driver) The first place finisher of each race can gain a possible point total of 185 points. This is the highest possible total for each event. A points chart is available from the menu on the left.

Special Note:
In case one of your drivers loses points due to a penalty imposed by NASCAR, you will also lose those points.
