NFC South Pick'em Pool Rules

1) In case any questions come up, all of our decisions will be final. We will NOT make exceptions for individual players, this especially includes late submissions! Everyone MUST play by the rules as outlined below, so make sure you read them because we will hold you to them. If you have any questions or concerns email us or post them on the BBS.

2) We are running two different pools here.

A Weekly Pool

A Survivor Pool

The Weekly Pool:
This is the main pool where you pick the games stright up based solely on who wins and loses. Pretty stright forward, easy to play, but not always so easy to pick. Our prize package is awarded for this pool, but here's a word to the wise. If you pick really well, it is possible to miss a week and still stay in the running, but it's not likely. If you intend to play this pool and plan on winning, make sure you get your picks in every week because many of the other players sure will. A minimum of 12 completed weeks is required to be eligible for any prizes.

Survivor Pool:
Also known as the King of the Hill, Last Man Standing and the Suicide Pool. The Survivor Pool is a separate fun and easy pool. The premise of the pool is simple: A pool member picks only one team each week. If they win, they move on to the next week, but 2 losses and you're out. Once a member picks a team, they cannot pick that team again. (Picking the same team twice will result in a loss for that week) The pool continues until only one member is left. In case of multiple "deaths" on the final week of remaining players, a tie breaker will be used to determine the winner. The tie breaker will be determined by the longest "winning streak" of games picked by the final players. This is a game of strategy, best played by looking ahead and not painting yourself into a corner. A running list of everyone's weekly picks are displayed on the Survivor Pool page.
We are currently looking for a sponsor for this pool. (hint hint)

3) Pick Deadline:
The deadline for your pick selections each week will depend on when the first game of that week is played. But make no mistake, all player picks MUST be in before game time of the first game of any given week! No picks will be accepted after kick-off of the first game on any given week. NO EXCEPTIONS!! The first game of the season (week 1) is traditionally a early week with a Thursday game. After week 1 most weeks will have a Sunday start. However, there are quite a few Thursday games this season due to The NFL Network picking up broadcast rights again this season. Weeks 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 all have Thursday games. Week 17 returns to all Sunday games. Weeks 2 through 9 all have 1:00 PM Sunday start times.

* Week 1: (Season Opener) Thursday September 8th (8:30 PM EST)
* Week 10: Thursday November 10th (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 11: Thursday November 17th (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 12: Thursday November 24th (12:30 PM EST)
* Week 13: Thursday December 1st (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 14: Thursday December 8th (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 15: Thursday December 15th (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 16: Thursday December 22th (8:20 PM EST)
* Week 17: All Sunday Games (1:00 PM EST)

We will remind everyone of these early deadlines on the pool page so make sure to read those announcements. It might also become critical at other times during the season, tie breakers, cancellations, rescheduled games etc.

4) Tie Breaker:
The winner of the season pool (Weekly Pool) will be determined by the number of total wins over the entire regular season. If there is a tie in total points accumulated, then the tie breaker will be used. The tie breaker will be the lowest average Monday Night difference.

5) Prizes:
TBA (If any)
