a dastardly arcade monger

I forget that some of you may not understand how these upcoming races work. There are actually 2 races.
"The Sprint Showdown" is only for those drivers not already entered into the All*Star race and is run first. The winner will advance to the All*Star race. This race is pretty much for the also-rans, so none of the big names are in this one. "The All*Star race" is the biggun, which runs after the Showdown race and all the big names (drivers who have won a race recently) are in this one, plus the winner of the Showdown and the driver who gets voted in. None of the other guys who were in the Showdown will be in this one. Here's the important part of this: On the bonus question of who will win the Showdown, a lot of you are picking a driver already in the All*Star race, which means he won't be running in the Showdown. You can't get any bonus points with that kind of answer. You have a 1 in 25 (or so) chance of getting this one right, but it's certainly worth a try. So, pick somebody that's never won a race before (or it's been a long time) and fix your stuff. I'll accept a PM with a change - or you can edit your post. Deadline will be Saturday afternoon. |

The most convoluted spectacle in sports
![]() There will actually be 3 drivers transferring from the Showdown to the All*Star race. The top 2 finishers in the Showdown, and then the leading vote getter, who must finish on the lead lap. Good thing I went to college ![]() |
