I don't know if any of you have heard, but there are two men from Georgia who claim to have found Bigfoot. There are several reported stories about it too. At first I thought it was just a fake webpage making its rounds on the internet. But these guys, along with a known Bigfoot hunter, have gotten a lot of face time including a press converence yesterday. Real or not. At first it seemed like it could have merit. Just because of all the stories and the conference. But after looking in to the story more I think it's a hoax. But what I'm wondering is what would these guys have to gain out of going so far with a hoax? The Bigfoot guy has his reputation at stake. All the guys have their reputation at stake. What's the benefit of faking this? Are they simply trying to get more traffic through their website? That seems like a lot of stuff to do to simply get some website traffic. And why would 15 minutes of fame be worth it if you'll forever be known as a fool? |

Yeah, I follow news in the crypto world. I don't really believe in all the legends, but I like to read up on all the latest happenings. This story has been going on since mid July. At first it didn't seem like much, but like a snowball it kept getting bigger and bigger until the real news agencies picked up on it.
My opinion...these guys are full of it. Everyone wants their 15 minutes even if they end up looking stupid in the process. The only problem is it gives a bad name to the real experts who spend their time trying to prove or disprove all the myths around the legends.

Dangit, I really want it to be true!
Sounds crazy, but for the longest time I've wanted something amazingly different to happen to this world. Like the capture of an unknown creature such as Bigfoot, or finding aliens/life on other planets, or maybe the knowledge of knowing new aspects of time/dimensions. I looked in to that Bushnell prize, and I just don't see how they can get money for pulling off a prank. And aren't there some sort of rules against holding press conferences and TV interviews where you're bold-faced lying? I saw a TV interview that Biscardi did with somebody from a news source, and he boldly said it was Bigfoot. And that the reporter was invited to come check it out. I think they deserve an ass whoopin' if they're going to lie about stuff like that to that extent. |

Here is a good read on Biscardi's previous antics.
If you found a sasquatch corpse, something that would forever change the world and put you in the history books, wouldn't you get it to a scientist as soon as possible? Not put it in a freezer for a month while promoting it on Youtube and selling hats on your website? I think the concept of sasquatch/big foot/skunk ape whatever you want to call it is fascinating. To think that a creature like that could be roaming the forrest undiscovered is a little silly, but I don't totally rule it out. |

Thanks, that just ruined my week. Is it too much to ask for a freakin sasquatch??? All I want is one freakin sasquatch! First things first though, lets hold off on the hunt for sasquatch, and go hunting for Biscardi, what an a-hole. |

But they have a picture of a set of teeth!!
<![]() It's hard to prove that "nothing" exists. Just as hard to prove that "nothing" does not exist. The story is 1000's of years old, if not older. You would think we would have at least one positive piece of proof after all these years, or at least one photo that is not "grainy". When was the last time a new creature was discovered here in the USA? |
