I just happened to get lucky one day while out shopping with the family. I wandered into a outlet store while waiting for my wife and daughter to finish spending a lifetime in a clothing store and they had some stainless steel cookware on clearance. This was really nice high end cookware and I couldn't believe the price.
So I grabbed a 10" sauté pan with lid for $10. It was so awesome I went back the very next day and bought it's big brother. They have a heavy 3/8" heat dispersing pad on the bottom so they cook everything evenly and they're very easy to clean. These pans have become my kitchen workhorses and usually the first thing I reach for. They're awesome and I virtually stole them. Definitely the deal of the day! |

I've had these pans for a couple of years now but the reason I brought this up is because I made meatballs the other day (start to finish) using just 1 of these pans. I started by sautéing some onions, garlic and herbs which I added to my meatball mixture and then browned the meatballs in the same pan. The pan has a stainless handle so after browning I added some tomato sauce, topped them with cheese and simply took it off the stove and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for roughly 15 minutes to finished them off. You can't do stuff like this with just any cookware. Nothing burned or stuck during this process, the meatballs were awesome and it was a simple 1 pan clean up afterward. (give or take a few plates of course )I have other necessary cookware that I use (non-stick pans, griddles, pots etc) but these stainless pans carry the bulk of my kitchen work and are my pans of choice. They not only remove the hassles from cooking, they actually make cooking a pleasure. |

We have a big old stainless steel pot. Have had that thing for years. Cooks a mean batch of chili, we use it outside on the grill. Worth every penny we paid for it, it's a workhorse for sure.
