DUNN BACK TO THE BUCS?

On the same day that running back Warrick Dunn secured his freedom from the Falcons, Dunn visited with the team for which he played before heading to Atlanta.

Dunn was a Buc from 1997 through 2001. He left as a free agent in 2002, the same year that started with the termination of coach Tony Dungy and ended with a Super Bowl title.

In Tampa, Dunn would join a backfield that includes Earnest Graham, Michael Bennett, and Cadillac Williams. However, there are rumors that Williams won't play in 2008 -- if ever -- due to a torn patellar tendon suffered in 2007.

We still think that the Colts should make a play for him. But given that the Colts are only a season removed from winning a Super Bowl, we suppose we'll defer to their judgment in this regard.

Dunn and Graham could be quite scary for opposing Ds and I like Dunn's hands coming out of the backfield. I hated seeing Dunn leave, getting him back would be sweet!

Falcons have lost two players in the last two seasons. They are as far apart as two can possibly be.

First, they lost MV. We all know the story about him. No need to repeat it here.

On the very opposite end of everything, Falcons have released Dunn.

Hate to see him go. He has some good play left in him and someone will be lucky to sign him.

Falcons replaced him with a much younger player, still we are going to miss the one leaving.

He is a great man, both on and off the field.
