Griese, Royal leave game (AP)

Tampa Bay quarterback Brian Griese injured his shoulder and Denver rookie Eddie Royal sprained his ankle on separate plays in the third quarter Sunday. Buccaneers middle linebacker Barrett Ruud left with a knee injury in the fourth quarter. Griese was just getting ready to throw the ball when Champ Bailey hit him on a blitz with 8 minutes, 39 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

I don't mind the weird games, it is the Loss that I mind.
The Broncos had multiple 8 men in coverage, time after time on passing downs. They disguised it well. I don't know why the Bucs didn't or couldn't pick up on it. And the bad pass to Stevens in the endzone hurt bad. Then throw in the guy holding Gaines Adams on almost every play and getting away with it.
Weird and losing....just hate them. I would have love to have seen
an UGLY WIN!

According to Gruden today, it was 23 times they had that coverage. He said he'd never seen it used that many times, and usually it was only 3 or 4 times per game. Seems like we'd have figured it out after that many times, donchathink?

Worst non call was the facemask in front of the ref on Griese. GIVE ME A BREAK, are you freaking blind?

Gruden can't beat Shanahan. WTF!! They WERE the #31 defense in the league. We somehow made them look like a #1 defense.

Why did they not try an onside kick at the end?? What did they have to lose?? Either way if Denver got a first down it was over. But at least we could have had a shot at recovering an onside kick.
