So is Jeff giving back the money he collected when he missed games due to injury. He doesn't miss games with injury he gets his mil. If he is not an injury risk anytime you play him he gets his 1 mil.
Personally I feel they should give it to him sincethey held him out. I also feel Gruden had no idea Jeff would miss out on a mil either.
This new whining is getting old though. He signed a contract a year ago- now he wants more-- why didn't he think of this last year. If I am the Bucs I stand firm. He is 38 y/o and on his last swan song. He is not going to sit out and he sure isn't going to retire. His base is 2 mil. he can make up to 1.5 more in incentive, and he is already on the books for 1.5 from the SB last year. Thats 5 mil for a 38y/o QB who posted just 13 TD's and is a huge injury risk.
tedc-- why do u think this guy will be the Bucs QB in 2010 at over 40y/o. |

Well one reason is that I think the Bucs will give him a three year contract. We have no other QB. Brian G. hasn't made a complete year in his career. Mr MacCown is ok but not the guy to put money on for a whole season yet. The new guy is just that..The new guy. We need Jeff for at least two more years starting. So I think the Bucs will offer a three year deal.
