They fully understand the costs, value and what the market will bear. The NFL has priced it's product at the very top of the premium heap. Cable can't possibly bundle the NFL Network at it's current pricing. It would need to charge an extra premium for a single channel and they simply don't see that as good business or value for their customers.

Being an employee of one of those cable co's I have to agree when I was told what the NFL was asking and what we would have to do to break even was ridiculous.....
